Text in Photoshop

To create text in Photoshop you use the text tool on your toolbar.

Click once to start a line of text, click and drag to create a text box.

When the text is selected you will see the options for it across the top. These are fine for basic things like font, font size, etc. For advanced options click the little button by the yellow arrow.

The Character and Paragraph menus let you adjust leading, tracking, kerning, and many other options.

When you use the text tool you may notice that it created a Text layer in your layers menu.

To quickly enter the edit text mode double click on the T thumbnail on the side of the layer.

When your layers are selected they will be blue.
