Street Art Project
You will be creating an art piece using the style of street art you find most interesting. It is recommended you use the same style of art you covered in your presentations, but if you want you can choose a different style. In addition, your art should include either some type symbolism (through images or color) or some type of meaning.
phase 1 - planning - 50 points
Once you choose an art style you'd like to emulate, you will need to create a materials list. As you plan this list may change! It's important to always be flexible and willing to alter or improvise your ideas if you need to.
After you've chosen an art style and created a materials list it's time to start working on your idea. You will create sketches of your idea first. It's best to do at least 3 different sketches to come up with the best idea you can. Think of your sketches as rough drafts.
Once your sketches are done meet with the teacher to go over your idea. At this point your initial materials list may change. Once your idea has been approved you will be ready to move on to the next phase.
phase 2 - execution - 100 points
Once your project idea has been approved, and your materials have been acquired, you may start your project. You'll have approximately 1 week to complete Phase 2 of your project. However, as long as you're actively working on your project you can get more time if needed.
Someone from your group will need to document the process. You will need to take photos that show the progress of your work. You may also take videos. These photos and/or videos will be used in Phase 3.
phase 3 - presentation - 50 points
After your actual art is completed you will need to create a final presentation for it.
Your presentation can be a slide show or video detailing your progress. The slide show or video will contain your photos and/or videos, as well as answers to the following questions:
What was the idea behind your art/design?
What medium (types of art supplies) was used for your art?
Who was involved in your project?
Also, explain what is happening in your photos or videos. These explanations can be short captions under each picture, or for a video subtitles or voiceover narration.
Your slideshow should also look nice! Spend some time making making it look presentable.
How to upload photos and videos to your computer.
If you made a video upload to your folder on the Google Drive.
All members of your group will also need to complete a written reflection. Be sure to follow the instructions on the link!
