Lines & Shape
When drawing anything it's important to focus on the shapes. If you look at an object, and can see the shapes that create it you will be able to draw anything.
We will continue our contour drawing, but we will be going outside this time.
What you need:
pen or pencil
drawing board
paper
What you'll be doing:
Choose a scene, an object, a tree, a plant, or anything that interests you outside and draw it.
Focus on the outlines of the object, and the large shapes.
Don't shade anything - outlines only.
Draw different things and fill your paper. Move around and get close to what you're drawing.
Be respectful of other classes and keep the noise down.
TIPS & TRICKS
Squinting
Use this this trick to block out the detail and only see the shapes of what you're drawing.
Pencil Guide
Hold your pen or pencil up to help find the angles of what you're drawing. This is especially useful for drawing buildings.
