Lines & Form
Simple lines can be used to to create form. Form is what makes an object look 3 dimensional - it has height, width, and, depth. These types of lines are called contour lines.Â
Beginning Practice
We'll practice and warm-up by drawing contour lines on these shapes.
Your lines should make each shape look 3D.
Advanced Practice
For this assignment you will be creating a drawing of a hand that looks 3D.
What you'll need:
paper large enough for your hand
pen or pencil
What you'll be doing:
Place you hand on the paper and trace around it.
Start drawing a line from one side of the paper, when you reach the line you traced around your hand begin curving the line.
Look at your hand so you can see how and where it curves!
