Color Basics
You will be using your graphic design skills to create a color theory chart based on the color wheel below. This assignment is worth 50 points. Need some inspiration? Try googling the words color theory, and look at the different images to see what other people have made.

Follow the instructions below to complete this assignment.
This is Graphic Design, so you should be trying to make the layout of your document interesting. What you are creating is a visual guide to colors, make it unique, and make it something more than just answering the questions. You will be graded on your effort to make it creative!
Create a New document in Photoshop. The size can be whatever works for your design, but the minimum should be 8.5 x 11 inches.
The color mode should be RGB.
The resolution should be 72.
Open the color chart you saved from above, and paste it into your document.
Your goal is to create a chart that someone could use to answer the questions below.
What are the 3 primary colors?
What are the 3 secondary colors?
What are the 6 tertiary colors? HINT:They don't call them tertiary colors in the video, but they're after the secondary colors.
What is Hue?
What is Saturation?
What is Value?
What is a monochromatic color scheme?
What is an analogous color scheme?
What are complementary colors?
What are split complementary colors?
What is a triadic color scheme?
What is a tetradic color scheme?
When you are finished save your image as a JPEG. Name it lastname_color. If you have multiple pages they will be called lastname_color1, lastname_color2, etc. Turn your assignment into your folder on the Google Drive.
Tools to use
Try using the shape tool for this assignment. You have standard shapes, lines, and custom shapes.
At the top are options for the shapes you choose. The custom shape tool has various shapes you can use if you click the little image next to Shape.
You can even load more shapes by clicking the small triangle button and selecting Load Shapes.
If you double-click the little colored box on your shape layer you can quickly change the color.
