So this can actually be both, but because we're trying to be safe as possible you still lose a point ☹️. IF you know for certain you ordered an item that cost the amount that's in the email, you see the email is actually from Amazon, and when you hover over the link it actually points to the Amazon website then you can click Track Package.

BUT, if for any reason you're unsure just delete the email and go to your Amazon account to check if something was ordered.

You can always safely delete these emails even if they're legit because your actual Amazon account will have your orders.
