Operating Systems

An OS is the software that supports a computer's basic functions, such as scheduling tasks, executing applications, and controlling peripherals. Can you find examples of various OS's throughout history?

Get in a group of 1 to 2 people. You will be making a presentation on the history of your chosen OS. Choose from the list we made above, and create a slideshow that has the following:

A title slide that includes your name/s and the OS
When the OS was created
Who created the OS - this should include the names of its creators.
The story of its creation - why was it made and what it was for, who used it, how long was it used.
What replaced it and why, or is it still going? If it still exists give a brief history of the different versions and what was/is new about it.
Be sure to also include photos of the computer system and the OS (if it has a GUI).
